Compared to Amazon’s Alexa, with its add-on Skills for hundreds of products, Apple’s automation platform has seen relatively

sparse uptake. It’s not even as widely supported as the newer Google Home or the independent IFTTT. The addition of the Home app to macOS Mojave should help, but Apple may need a more versatile kitchen or living room product, like Google’s Home Hub or Amazon Echo Show, to get more households on board. This will also depend on developments with Siri and Apple TV (see page 67).
