1 Import photos

To import shots stored in a folder on your hard drive, choose File > Import. Browse to the images and ß+click to select them. Click Review for Import. Tick the files you want and Import Selected.

2 From memory card

When you plug a memory card into your Mac an Import window appears. Click the thumbnails you want to import. Tick the ‘Delete items after import’ box to make space on the card.

3 Assign to album

Imported images go into the Photos Library. View them by clicking the Library pane’s Imports or Recents labels. Alternatively, assign them to existing albums while using the Import window.
