HOW TO Use and configure Sleep Mode

-

1 Upcoming alarms

Open the Health app, tap Browse, then tap Sleep. Scroll to Your Schedule and tap Edit to adjust the next upcoming alarm on your schedule, toggle the alarm on or off, snooze the alarm, and more. Tap Done when finished.

2 Adjust regular timetable

For more control, tap Full Schedule & Options. Under Full Schedule, tap Edit to adjust your current schedule. Here, the settings apply to every day that Sleep Mode is active. You can also choose which days it runs on.

3 Add a new schedule

Tap Add Schedule for Other Days to add another schedule in addition to an existing one. For instance, you could have one for weekdays and one for the weekend, or a special schedule if you regularly travel on a certain day.

4 Track your sleep goals

Under Additional Details you can determine your sleep goal and how long your Wind Down period is before Do Not Disturb is enabled. Tap Sleep Goal or Wind Down to set your desired times for each of these.

5 Fine-grained details

At the bottom, tap Options. Here you can decide how your sleep schedule works – whether it shows the time on your Lock Screen, if you get reminders your Wind Down is starting, whether you see your sleep results, and more.

6 Wind Down shortcuts

Tap Wind Down Shortcuts, then Add Shortcut. Choose one from the list and tap the ‘+’ button, or tap Show Apps from the App Store and download an app. Once finished, you can add another by tapping Add Another Shortcut.

7 Run the shortcut

These shortcuts will show on your Lock Screen when Sleep Mode is active. On the Lock Screen, tap Shortcuts, then tap the shortcut you wish to run. You can also use Siri for this to save you picking up your phone while you’re in bed.

8 Sleep history

At the top of the Sleep page in Health is your sleep history. Tap ‘W’ to see the previous week or ‘M’ for the past month. Tap Sleep Schedule to see how you lined up with your schedule. Tap Show More Sleep Data for more details.

9 Control Centre

For easy access to Sleep Mode, add it to Control Centre. Open the Settings app and tap Control Centre, then tap the ‘+’ next to Sleep Mode. Now swipe down from the top right and tap the bed icon to toggle Sleep Mode.
