Hex Technical Backpack
A high quality backpack with room to roam
$149.95 (about £110) FROM Hex, hexbrand.com FEATURES 17.5l, antimicrobial fabric, wireless charging pocket, 1680D Cordura ballistic bottom, padded laptop pocket
Whether you’re travelling for work or pleasure, you need a great bag to tote all your stuff. That’s especially the case if that stuff includes a MacBook, iPad, iPhone, a ton of peripherals and your lunch. The Hex Technical Backpack has room for all that and more, and it’s beautifully made too.
Boasting a storage capacity of 17.5 litres, it comes with padded, cosseting spaces for both the aforementioned MacBook (up to 16 inches) and iPad, plus myriad pockets for everything else – from your Apple Pencil and Lightning cables to your iPhone or passport (there’s even a pocket just for them). Made from waterproof fabric that also has antimicrobial properties, the bag also comes with a 1680D Cordura ballistic bottom and YKK woven zips. Frankly, your tech deserves no less.
What’s more, the Hex is easy to carry around, thanks to its thick and wide padded shoulder straps, plus the moulded EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) panel that makes even a fully loaded backpack gentle on your body.
Our review model came with Hex’s optional Wireless
Power Bank ($49.95, around £35), which has its own pocket on the bag’s top.
As laptop bags go, the Hex Technical has your back. The only catch? It currently isn’t available in the UK, although other Hex bags are. Hopefully that situation will change very soon. Rob Mead-Green
