HOW TO Remove unwanted people and objects

1 Heal or clone

The Photos app’s Retouch tool produces smudgy results when removing subjects because it blends (heals) transplanted pixels with their new surroundings. In Photo Studio 7’s Repair panel, try clicking Clone instead of Heal.

2 Let us spray

For more accurate editing, adjust the Width and Feathering of the Clone tool’s brush tip. ≈-click to define the area that you want to transplant. Click to spray the sampled pixels over the unwanted subject.

3 Little and often

For greater control, keep ≈-clicking on adjacent areas to sample and extend appropriate pixels over the unwanted subject. Here we’ve cloned the wall of the background house and grass over the woman, and tarmac over the car aerial.
