HOW TO Counteract distortion
1 Geometric distortion
Certain lenses can cause horizontal and vertical lines to bulge (barrel) outwards or inwards (pin-cushion). To straighten curved lines, click on the Geometry tab. Toggle open Lens Distortion and tweak the Distortion slider.
2 Perspectival distortion
When shooting a tall building from a low angle, its walls may converge towards the top of the frame. In the Perspective panel, drag the Vertical slider to make the converging lines run parallel with the edge of the frame.
3 Horizontal distortion
When shooting a subject from a side angle, its horizontal lines may converge towards the right of the frame. By tweaking the Horizontal slider, you can make it look like you were standing directly in front of the subject.
