Hopefully, you’ll have read our ‘Get ready for macOS Monterey’ guide last issue and prepped your Mac… (If you missed it, turn to p76.) This issue, we’re taking you through all the changes and improvements in the latest OS update so that you can hit the ground running and make the most of the new features. Aside from the new free desktop upgrade, did Apple’s September event bring all that you had hoped for in terms of new Apple kit? While the changes in the new iPad 10.2in are fairly incremental, the iPad mini has had quite the makeover. And, among many other improvements, Apple has again pushed iPhoneography up a notch with the iPhone 13 Pro. Check out our Apple reviews starting on p78.

We’re also getting into the party spirit this issue and wishing the iPod a happy 20th birthday (p62). Rather than dwell on how old that makes us feel, we’re celebrating how the device has transformed the way we listen to music!
