Sony LSPX-S3 Glass Sound Speaker

> Atmosphere and audio combine to make the LSPX-S3 an interesting device, albeit one that makes us a little nervous. The organic glass tube on top isn’t only there to give its candle-aping LED something to reflect from, it is itself a tweeter, physically tapped by three actuators at its base (using a tech Sony calls Advanced Vertical Drive Technology) in order to resonate high frequencies. It’s joined by a standard 1.8in mid-range speaker in the centre and a passive radiator for bass, giving the LSPX-S3 some serious range.
And if you’re happy carrying a glass tube around with you, it packs eight hours’ battery so you can give it some physical range, too.
