Can Apple save the App Store as we know it? >

-

> The App Store has grown far beyond its relatively humble roots. However. upcoming decisions in the US and elsewhere may bring about fundamental changes. At the moment, Apple is allowing elements of the App Store to be chipped away at piece by piece, as is the case with the recent decisions in South Korea and Japan.

We have seen that the company can be proactive in this area when it wants to be though, such as reducing the commission paid by smaller developers. Surely it would be better for Tim Cook and the other top Apple executives to shift things a bit, while it is still in their gift to do so, rather than wait for others to make the decision? Because one thing is for certain, this issue is not going away any time soon.
