Filter messages in your inbox

Only see those that meet specific criteria

Mail provides a couple of options for filtering messages in your Inbox. The first is the Filter Messages button that sits in the toolbar above the message preview list. Click it to switch filtering on. To choose a filter, click and hold the button and select an option from the menu. The other method is to enable the Favourites Bar from the View menu. You will then see a row of options like VIPs and Flagged. Click and hold on one to select an option. To view only messages that satisfy the filter criteria, click the headings – VIP, Flagged, etc – once.
