HOW TO Set up rules

1 Add a rule

Rules are created in Preference­s. Click the Mail menu, then Preference­s and choose the Rules tab. Click the Add Rule button. Type a descriptiv­e name for the rule and choose whether any or all conditions have to be met.

2 Set the conditions

Rules work similarly to Smart Mailboxes. So, choose the criteria for the first condition from the two menus on the left and add text if it’s need to create the condition. Click the ‘+’ to add more conditions to the rule.

3 Specify the action

We need to tell Mail what to do with messages that meet these conditions. Select actions from the menus and type text any boxes that appear. When you’re finished, click Done and choose whether to apply the rule to existing messages.
