The piéce de résistance for some tech fans, though, is the Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, which brings 120Hz screen refresh rates to the iPhone for the first time. Already available on iPad Pro, 120Hz ProMotion delivers improved graphics and touchscreen performance, although Apple is somewhat late to the party – 120Hz refresh rates have been a feature of some rivals since the Razer Phone made its debut in 2017.

A larger image sensor and f/1.5 aperture on the Wide lens means that the iPhone 13 Pro is much better at shooting in low light – shots that would previously have triggered Night mode no longer do so.
