PRO APPS GET M1 UPDATES

WORK BETTER WITH NEW CHIPS

> Apple has updated its Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro apps to take full advantage of the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips inside the new MacBook Pro models.

In Final Cut Pro, video editors can now play seven streams of 8K ProRes footage at full resolution and export ProRes video five times faster thanks to the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. Apple has added an Object Tracker that follows faces and objects on-screen. And if you’ve shot Cinematic mode videos from a device in the iPhone 13 line-up, you can now edit the footage’s depth effects in Final Cut Pro.

Apple’s Motion and Compressor companion apps for Final Cut Pro have also been updated, bringing faster rendering and transcoding, new filters, and extra object tracking features.

As for Logic Pro, you can now create spatial audio effects in your tracks, then publish them as Dolby Atmos files in Apple Music. It also now comes with every Producer Pack introduced with Garage Band in summer 2021.
