time soon. Indeed, the company has long resisted such a move, with Steve Jobs describing the idea as “ergonomically terrible” back in 2010. When macOS Big Sur was released a decade later Craig Federighi said that Apple was “not remotely considering something about touch”. While Microsoft continues to release its Surface Pro range, which is a tablet/ laptop crossover device, it seems clear that for the foreseeable future Apple will continue to follow a different path.
