HOW TO Use Split View

1 Tap the top

Split View works just like Slide Over, but this time it divides the screen equally between your apps. Once again you need to tap the three dots icon at the top of the screen, but this time you want to tap the second, centre icon.

2 Open another app

This time your first app slides over to the left of the screen rather than the right, waiting for you to select your next app. If you don’t have the other app on your Home Screen you can swipe screens or search for it.

3 Do two things at once

Here’s a good example of Split View in action: on our left, a travel booking site open in Safari; on our right, Maps with the same location open so we can see where it is, what other people think about it and whether it’s in a nice bit of town.
