Live Text works automatically; if you see text in a photo, you can highlight it just like you would a bit of on-screen text. Here we’ve highlighted a mattress label, pressed and held it, and then tapped on Look Up to search the Web for its name.

We’re constantly grabbing images of interesting bits in books, and Live Text makes that effortless: when you see the live text icon in the bottom of the screen you can tap it and the text instantly becomes selectable.

Here we’re grabbing the ingredients from a digital magazine in the Readly app, which is very useful. We’ve also tried it on business cards, cartoon strips and all kinds of printed text and it’s worked effortlessly every time.
