HOW TO Create a picture with more punch

Go to the Detail panel. By dragging the Sharpen slider right, you can increase midtone contrast and reveal fine details. However, too much sharpening can add noise and halos (dark lines) around contrasting edges.

1 Sharpening

Many shots will benefit from some post-production sharpening. Sharpening works by increasing midtone contrast. This helps delicate details such as a pet’s fur stand out. Camera+ Studio has plenty of sharpening tools.

2 Detail panel 3 Clarity Pro

A good alternative to Sharpen is Clarity Pro. Drag Intensity to 0.90 to increase the contrast of a wider range of tones and reveal more shadow detail. A Vibrancy boost enhances natural colours, such as blues and greens.
