HOW TO How to hide your email
1 Create an address
In iOS 15 or iPadOS 15, tap Settings then tap your name and choose iCloud. Tap Hide My Email. Choose ‘Create new address’. You’ll see the new email address on screen. If you don’t like it, tap ‘Use different address’.
2 Use the address
Once you’ve got an address, give it a name in the label field and type a note to remind you what you use it for. Tap Next. Make a note of the address. Tap Done. You can now use that address anywhere you choose.
3 Copy an address
Forget to make a note of an address? Don’t worry. Locate the address on the Hide My Email screen, then tap it to see its details. Tap and hold on Hide My Email, then tap Copy. You can now paste it anywhere.
4 Change forwarding address
You can’t change where individual addresses are forwarded, but you can change it for all Hide My Mail addresses. Tap Settings, then your name, iCloud > Hide My Email. Scroll down, tap ‘Forward to’ and choose an address.
5 Deactivate an address
Deactivating an address stops it from forwarding emails, but keeps the address. On the Hide My Email screen, locate the address to deactivate, tap it then tap ‘Deactivate email address’. Tap Deactivate to confirm.
6 Reactivate or delete
On the Hide My Email screen, scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Inactive addresses’. Tap the address you want to manage. Tap ‘Reactivate address’ to start it forwarding again, or ‘Delete address’ to remove it permanently.
