HOW TO Create works of art

1 Effects panel

In the Expert workspace, click on the ‘fx’ (Effects) button. Click the new Artistic tab. Place the cursor over an art effect thumbnail to get a description of its style (such as Expressionist), then click one to apply the effect.

2 Modify effect

Untick the Background box to restrict the style to the main foreground subject. You can also use the Intensity slider to reduce the strength of the style. You can also choose to use the photo’s original colours.

3 AI factor

Here we’ve applied a Woodblock style to our shot. Photoshop Element’s AI component has identified separate regions such as people, sky and sea and applied different of strokes to these areas for a more effective look.
