The most ‘computerised’ option, Creative’s Pebble V3 connects to your Mac over USB-C for streaming and power, and a USB-A adaptor is also provided.

A 3.5mm jack cable connects the second speaker. Lightweight and portable, the speakers fire upwards at a 45° angle and use one 2.25-inch driver in each cabinet. There’s 8W RMS and 16W peak power, which is more than adequate for the size and price.

You also get Bluetooth 5.0, and a high gain switch which can boost overall volume when powering from

computers with 10W USB capability. There’s even an aux input. The company’s ‘clear dialogue’ processing system helps to enhance voices when watching video content. The fidelity is never going to match larger speakers, but these definitely punch well above their weight. It seems they were designed to be better for movies and calls than for music playback.
