I WANT MY MAC TV

When I was last in the market for a Mac TV tuner, buying the Elgato Netstream DTT with EyeTV software was a no-brainer. Fantastic and reliable hardware married with elegant and simple-to-use software.

After many years of service, my Netstream has failed and I cannot work out what to replace it with. Elgato sold this part of their business and the new company does not currently stock similar hardware. Their move of the software to 64-bit has been so poor that I held off upgrading an old iMac from Mojave so I could stick with EyeTV 3. Is there an heir to the Elgato throne?

We feel your pain! We’ve had several Mac TV tuners in our time, but they all seem to have gone the way of the Dodo, with most people preferring to stream or download their content from the web instead.
