Hit the ground running
After plugging the Loupedeck CT into your Mac using the supplied USB-C connector (a USB-C to USB-A adapter is also supplied) the Loupedeck Configuration app lets you explore the pre-assigned button and dial settings of various applications.
A graphic of the Loupedeck CT device describes the property assigned to each button and dial when you launch a particular app. Some button behaviours are obvious due to a label or icon but you will need to hover the cursor over certain dials to see their assigned action. The configuration app also enables you to drag and drop alternative commands to change the content and behaviour of the buttons. This includes the option to create step-by-step macro commands which apply multiple actions in a tap or a click. When you change a button in the Loupedeck Configuration app, the button’s icon instantly updates on the device itself. When you tap an icon, the device vibrates to acknowledge your action. After initially installing the Loupedeck software, you should restart your Mac so that it controls various apps correctly.
The strength of the Loupedeck CT is that all its buttons and touchscreens are fully customisable, but you will need to practise using it to really become familiar with its comprehensive collection of settings.
