Once you’ve mastered the basics of printing from your Mac, there is plenty more you can do. From printing lots of documents from lots of applications without having to manually open each one, to customising presets so that you don’t have to configure each print every time. Depending on the printer you’re using, there are plenty of tools and options for getting more out of it. For example, most printers these days allow you to check how much ink is left from the Printers & Scanners pane in System Preferences. Just choose your printer and then click on a button labelled Options & Supplies. And most have a built-in web page you can visit to find out more information about their status.
