HOW TO Capture a macro bokeh

-

1 Add depth

The metal sign in the previous step was flat. By shooting a subject that has more depth (such as chain links here), you can capture a background blur that helps the eye focus on a particular foreground detail.

2 Toggle macro

To see the difference between the results produced by the Ultra Wide and the Wide cameras, simply tap the flowershaped Macro icon to toggle it on and off. When it’s off, the Wide (1x) camera can’t focus when 2cm away from the subject.

3 Sharp shooter

Tap on a particular object in the image (such as a chain link) to set the focal point. Place the main subject in the centre of the frame as this is where the Ultra Wide (0.5x) camera will be at its sharpest focus.
