HOW TO Add a shortcut to Quick Actions

-

1 Choose a shortcut

Quick Actions are performed in the Finder by clicking a button in the preview window, so choose a shortcut that makes sense to be triggered in this way. One example is a shortcut that renames files in batches.

2 Enable Quick Actions

Double-click the shortcut in All Shortcuts. Click the Settings icon in the sidebar and then choose the Details tab. Check the box labelled ‘Use as Quick Action’. Check the box next to Finder so it appears in Finder windows.

3 Use the Quick Action

In a Finder window, choose the file or files you want the shortcut to apply to. In Columns or Gallery views, look for the Shortcut icon at the bottom of the preview window and click it. If it’s not there, click More and select it.
