Urbanista’s Los Angeles have a remarkable and unique feature in the form of solar charging that works both indoors and out. They also charge over USB-C and offer a massive 80 hours of use, or 50 hours with noise cancelling on, but exposed to light they are essentially always charging and this works surprisingly well.

With a simple design, they support SBC and AAC codecs over Bluetooth 5.0 and have a companion app that lets you monitor charging and turn features on and off, with controls also available on-body.

Sonically they are a little bass-heavy and not as sharp as others, though perfectly decent, especially with electronic music. The active noise cancelling struggled a little with higher-pitched sounds, though ambient listening mode worked well and on-head detection is handy. Voice assistants are also supported. If you’re a bit eco-conscious, these are certainly worth a look.
