> Plenty of dash cams are already smart little gizmos, which is just as well when what they record is so important. But none hold a candle to the Nextbase iQ, a car dash cam so intelligent we’re concerned it might gain self-awareness.

It’s stuffed to the gills with interesting tools and tricks. For example, one of the iQ’s features is

Roadwatch AI, which monitors other vehicles’ speeds and trajectories to warn you of danger. It can also record incidents when you’re away from your car and let you know about them, and alert emergency services if you get into a crash. There’s way more than we have space for here, but suffice to say it could become the new gold standard in dash cams — or robot overlords.
