HOW TO Share shots using AirDrop

1 Share options

Browse to a shot in your iPhone’s Photos app. Tap Share. Tap Next. If you shoot in Raw, tap Options. Toggle All Photos Data on. This ensures that the full DNG file is transferred instead of a compressed .jpg. Tap Done.

2 Choose destination

Tap AirDrop. Tap your Mac’s icon. If you’re sending a .jpg it will go into your Downloads folder. If you’re sending a Raw file you’ll be asked to Accept it and choose either to ‘Save to Downloads’ or ‘Open in Photos’.

3 Access image

If you choose ‘Open in Photos’ the shot will appear in the Photos app. DNG files display a Raw label at the top left indicating their high-quality pedigree. DNG files saved to Downloads can be opened in third-party apps.
