HOW TO Make selective colour adjustments

-

1 Hue and Luminance

To creatively grade a shot click Edit. Toggle open Selective Color. Click a colour swatch such as blue. Here we’ve adjusted the Hue of the sky for a stylised cyan look. We’ve also darkened the Luminance to add drama.

2 Change seasons

Here we’ve adjusted the Hue of the yellow and green swatches to fastforward the seasons for a more autumnal colour palette. The Range slider finetunes the strength of the selective adjustment for the chosen colour.

3 Spot colour effect

The term ‘spot colour effect’ refers to removing all colour information apart from a single colour to draw attention to a particular object. Here we’ve reduced every colours’ Saturation slider to -100 (apart from red).
