HOW TO Enhance your shots quickly

1 Import shot

In Luminar Neo click the Catalogue tab, then click Add Photos. Browse to a shot on your Mac. Click Add, then Edit. Alternatively, In Photos go to Edit. Click ‘…’ (Extensions). Click Luminar Neo to launch the app in Edit mode.

2 Improve composition

Go to Tools. Toggle open Crop AI. Click the Crop AI button. Luminar Neo analyses the shot and crops it to improve composition. Here it has tightened the crop to make the people more prominent in the frame. Tap ®.

3 Perfect presets

Click Presets to explore a collection of themed presets that can enhance typical subjects. In the Essentials section, click Scenery. By clicking More Volume, we can add a more interesting sky to our overcast scene.

4 Enhance

Click Tools. In the Essentials section click Enhance AI. Drag the Accent AI slider to the right. This boosts contrast and gives the colours and textures more presence. We can even see the new sky reflected in the lake.

5 Erase

This shot’s sky is spoiled by power lines. The Erase panels features brush-based tools that can paint out unwanted objects. The Objects Removal section’s one-click Remove Powerlines button does the job in a click.

6 Fine-tune

In this example, some of the fence rails have also been removed as well as the powerlines. We can recover them by painting the Erase brush over the problem areas and then clicking the Restore button.
