Stage Manager on iPadOS
> Multitasking on the iPad has never been quite as smooth as it should be. Split View allows just two apps to be open, dominating the whole screen. Stage Manager facilitates multiple overlapping windows on the iPad, while the main app being worked with is displayed in the centre.
These windows can be altered and made different sizes. The Dock also remains in view, while recently used apps or groups of apps can be tapped and opened from the left-hand side. Stage Manager provides external display support if you’re using a tablet with an M1 chip such as the iPad Pro or iPad Air. This means you can have up to four apps open on your iPad as well as four more open on the external display simultaneously. It should be a big step forward when it comes to multitasking.
