Pixelmator for iPad actually combines both photo editing and desktop-class painting tools, making it ideal for photographers and artists alike. With support for Photoshop files, it has a range of one-tap enhancement tools that analyse an image and make changes to colour, contrast and sharpness based on its algorithms. You can also repair areas of an image and clone elements within a picture, as well as using the Distort tool to add in special effects.

Overlays and light leaks can be added using the Effects tools and you can even combine these to make your own unique looks, while templates can be used to quickly create collages. Taking things a step further, you can add graphical elements and stroke art to your images, or create paintings from scratch.
