Dell C1422H

The Dell C1422H 4 is one of the more unusual products in this roundup. It’s specifically designed to be a portable monitor that you can use to quickly add more screen space to your MacBook. While its 14-inch screen size may not sound like much, it effectively doubles the screen space of any MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13-inch or MacBook Pro 14-inch, while being easy to carry around.
It’s also easy to set up. You simply unfold the stand and plug the screen into your MacBook’s USB-C port, which then powers the screen, so there’s no tangle of wires, while buttons on the side let you adjust the brightness, as well as turn on ComfortView to minimise blue light.
Despite its size, image quality is good, thanks to a 1080p resolution that looks sharp on its 14-inch screen. Its peak brightness of 300 nits is decent too. While it’s not the best for a desktop, it’s great to have the option of taking it wherever you go.
