HOW TO Use Craft to plan a trip

1 Create a document

To start with a template, click My Templates in the left pane, then View Craft Templates. We’re going to start with a blank document. To do that, click All Documents, then ‘+’ in the top right corner and New Document. Type a title.

2 Add a cover image

To choose a cover photo, click the middle icon on the right of the window and click Cover Image. Click the empty box. Choose Image from Unsplash or Insert File to your own photo. Click an image or click Open.

3 Write a description

Click the ‘+’ at the right of the main window and choose Text. Start typing your text in the box. To style the text, click in the text box and click ‘Aa’. Choose from the options then click in the main window when you’re done.

4 Put in a divider

We want to separate the description from our next block. Click ‘+’ and, under Insert Line, choose the one you want and drag it from the sidebar onto the page. To restyle it, click on it, click ‘Aa’ and choose a style.

5 Add a link

We want to collect ideas for activities in the form of links to websites. So, click ‘+’ then Text and type a title for this section. Then add another text box and paste in a link. Click ‘Aa’ and choose one of the layout options.

6 Add itinerary

Put in another divider and a text box with the header ‘Itinerary’. Click the arrow to the right of the header and type details of where you’re staying, the dates, and any other details. Click the back arrow when you’re done.

7 Style the itinerary

Click in the itinerary box and click ‘Aa’. Click Card. Choose a style for the card, using the ‘ key to scroll through them. Choose a font style and a background colour or image. When you’re finished, click Apply Style.

8 Share your document

Click Share (top right), then Create to generate a link. Click Password if you want one, and Comments to manage those. Click Advanced Options to fine-tune other settings. When done, click Copy and share the link.
