Customise Safari
1 Search smarter
In Safari > Preferences > Search, click Manage Websites and remove any sites you don’t want Safari to automatically look at.
2 Create per-site settings
Preferences > Websites enables you to set site-specific settings such as Reader mode or pop-up blocking.
3 Save sites for later
To save your open tabs for fast access in future, use Bookmarks > Add Tabs to Reading List or create a Tab Group.
4 Embrace extensions
Safari extensions can do everything from blocking ads that slow you down (see ‘Make Safari smarter’) to showing you price histories on big retail sites.
5 Read later
Use Preferences > Advanced > ‘Save articles for offline reading automatically’ so that your Reading List doesn’t require an internet connection.
