Let your iPhone help you Focus

-

1 Explore Focus modes

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Focus. Here you’ll see the pre-defined Focus modes: Do Not Disturb, Driving, Personal, Sleep and Work. You can change the attributes of or schedule for any Focus mode by tapping its name here.

2 Set the criteria

You can now specify which of your apps and which contacts are allowed to contact you when this particular Focus mode is enabled. If you scroll down to Add Automatically you can set a time or location to automatically switch modes.

3 Select a screen

In iOS 16 there’s a great new feature where you can also choose which Lock Screen as well as which Home Page to display when the selected mode is active. That means you can have different Lock Screens for different times.

4 Make your own

If you tap the ‘+’ icon at the top right of the Focus page, you can create a new custom Focus mode. When you do, you’ll be asked to choose a category; choose Custom if none apply. You can now create your new Focus mode.
