Logitech Lift Vertical

Reduce strain with an ergonomic mouse

-

£69.99 FROM logitech.com FEATURES Ergonomic, vertical mouse, left- or right-handed options, four buttons with scrolling wheel

The Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse from Logitech provides a more affordable option than its MX Vertical. Unlike the MX Vertical, the Lift is available in both leftand right-handed versions, as well as three colour options. It’s also smaller than the MX Vertical so bigger hands may prefer the MX Vertical.

The Lift is still comfortable, with a soft rubber grip and ergonomic ‘vertical’ design that reduces wrist strain by enabling you to rest your hand in the ‘handshake’ position. There’s an AA battery included and Logitech says that this should last for up to two years.

The Lift can work like a conventional Bluetooth mouse, but also includes Logitech’s Bolt USB wireless adaptor to provide greater security than a regular Bluetooth connection (although this uses USB-A, so you’ll need an adaptor for Macs with USB-C). macOS can detect the Lift and treat it like a two-button mouse with a scroll wheel. However, the Lift has two additional thumb buttons, which require the use of Logitech’s Options app. This can be temperamental; we found that it initially failed to detect the Lift, even though we’d connected it to our Mac. Logitech’s Help pages show that other Mac users have had this problem, and we were able to find a solution. But mice are supposed to be plug ’n’ play devices, so Logitech needs to clarify the instructions here. Cliff Joseph
