SharePlay via Messages

SharePlay (the ability to enjoy a movie, TV show or music with friends) is no longer limited to FaceTime chats – it now works in Messages too. To use it, you’ll need to use a compatible app or service, such as Apple TV+ or Apple Music, and the person you’re sharing with must also be on iOS 16, iPadOS 16 or macOS Ventura and have a subscription to the app or service to begin. Once those qualifiers are out of the way, simply choose a movie, TV show or piece of music, tap Share, then tap Messages in the pop-up that appears. iOS 16 will suggest suitable names from your contacts or you can type in your own. From there, tap the Send button to invite your mates to join in.
