Share tab groups with others

Tab Groups – which first appeared in macOS Monterey, iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 – are a great way to curate regularly used web browser tabs. And now you can share them! New to the latest Apple OS are Shared Tab Groups. As the name suggests, this enables you to create a collection of web browser tabs and share them with others. The recipients can also add their own tabs to the shared tab group, making collaboration easier. Not only that, but you can manage Shared Tab Groups as you would with any other shared resource – decide who can take part in a share, add or remove people, and instigate a FaceTime or Messages chat about them from within Safari.

There are lots of reasons you might want to do this, such as working on joint work projects to planning holidays or family events. Plus, Shared Tab Groups can be a useful resource for clubs, societies and other groups too.

Additionally, you might want to create Shared Tab Groups for different groups of people. For instance, you could have a workfocused one, a friends one and another for your home. Best of all, Shared Tab Groups are available on iPadOS and macOS Ventura too. So let’s get tabbing!
