Stay safe and secure

New to iOS 16, Safety Check helps protect those at risk by making it easy to disconnect from people, apps and devices they no longer want to be associated with.

Located in Settings > Privacy & Security > Safety Check, there are two main options. The first, Emergency Reset, enables you to quickly change your Apple ID password, while protecting your data from those who might do you harm. You can also easily review your emergency contacts (located in Settings > Emergency SOS and Health > Emergency Contacts).

The second option is ‘Manage Sharing & Access’, which enables you to choose which people and apps have access to your data. And, in case of emergency, there’s a Quick Exit button that immediately takes you out of the setting should you feel your activity is being watched.
