What’s new in Notes

Quick Note, launched on Mac and iPad last year, now comes to iPhone in iOS 16. You can also encrypt notes with your iPhone’s passcode.

Notes in list and gallery views are grouped chronologically, using categories such as Today and Yesterday, to make them easier to find. And there are new filters in Smart Folders, enabling you to group notes based on criteria like date created or modified, attachments, and mentions.
