Fix a Safari error

-

QWhen I try to open some websites, Safari will report that it can’t open the page because of an error that it “cannot decode raw data (NSURLErrorDomain:-1015)”. Can I fix this? byJONHAWKINS

ACheck the details of the site, and that you’re using HTTPS at the start of the address, not HTTP. If it persists, quit Safari and open it again. Clearing Safari’s cache isn’t likely to help this error, which suggests the data being served is corrupt.

Restart, open Safari and type the URL in and check it carefully. Next enable Safari’s Develop menu in the Advanced section in Preferences. Tools worth trying there include changing the User Agent, and disabling Cross-Origin Restrictions.

If the error lies in the web server, you may need to try again another time, or switch to a different browser such as Firefox.
