3 If you’re looking for an alternative to Apple’s Calendar app that provides more than the bare minimum for free, or you’re invested in Google’s other services, Google Calendar is a good choice. As well as using it on iPhone or iPad to manage Google Calendar events, you can add your iCloud calendar account, though the process is far from simple and needs to be done in a web browser. If you want to use Google Calendar on your Mac, you’ll also need to use a web browser. On the plus side, the interface looks great, it’s integrated with Gmail and

other Google services, and you can join online meetings from within the app. There are also templates for creating recurring events, such as practicing an instrument; tell the app you want to practice for an hour a day and it will find time in your schedule. There’s no natural-language input support, but the ‘+’ for adding an event is clearly visible on your iPhone.
