AirPlay to Mac (2019)

AirPlay was originally designed to stream music via Wi-Fi from your Apple devices to compatible speakers, but, in recent years, it has been extended to work with video too. Introduced with Monterey, AirPlay to Mac allows you to stream video from an iPhone or iPad to the larger screen of a Mac.

Sidecar (2019)

One of the most popular Continuity features of recent years, Sidecar was first introduced with Catalina and means you can use your iPad as a second display for your Mac, without using any cables. Use the iPad to extend or mirror your Mac’s main display, just like you would with an ordinary external display.

Universal Control (2021-ish)

Universal Control enables you to control multiple Apple devices with a single mouse and keyboard, and you can even drag and drop files between devices. It was originally scheduled for release with Monterey last year, but – almost a year later – Universal Control is still in its beta test phase.

Continuity Camera (2022)

Due for release with Ventura later this year, Continuity Camera lets you use your iPhone’s camera as a webcam for your Mac. It can even use the wide-angle lens on the latest iPhones to display a split-screen Desk View that shows both your face, and an overhead view of documents on your desk.
