Why won’t my MacBook compact a sparse bundle?

> Probably because it’s running on battery. Compacting takes time, during which any loss of power could destroy the sparse bundle. macOS won’t start compacting on battery power unless you override that behaviour using hdiutil’s -batteryallowed option or in the app using it.
