Make the most of Focus filters

Customise how your apps and Mac behave when each of your Focuses is active. In addition to controlling any Notifications that you receive, restricting access to specific people, and the apps that you allow, you can refine each of those environments further using filters.

Add these in System Settings > Focus. Select the Focus you want to customise, with the Add Filter button at the bottom. Pick a calendar to show so, say, you only see work appointments in your Work Focus.

You can also filter Mail by inboxes, Messages by conversations, and which of Safari’s tab groups to show. Your favourite third-party apps should also offer their own custom app filters. Use these controls to build yourself a complete custom environment for each of your activities.
