Background sounds

If you find background sounds such as the sea or a trickling stream reassuring, choose between six in Settings > Accessibility > Audio. There’s also a control to turn them off when your Mac’s not in use.

VoiceOver text check

VoiceOver can now warn you of common formatting and other errors in documents and email messages before you send them to others. Choose what you want reported in VoiceOver Utility > Verbosity > Text.

Punctuation in Dictation

Getting Dictation to add punctuation hasn’t been easy in previous macOS. Ventura now inserts commas, full stops and question marks for you as you dictate. Dictation is in Settings

> Keyboard > Dictation.
