CalDigit’s TS4 has a huge range of ports and can supply up to 98W of power to a laptop. The front has full-size and MicroSD UHS-II card slots, a combined audio in/out port, USB-A and two USB-C 3.2 ports, one of which supplies 20W for fast charging.

At the back are four further USB-A 3.2 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, another USB-C and Thunderbolt/ USB 4 to the host Mac.

Two further Thunderbolt 4 ports provide 15W power and 40Gbps data transfer, and there are more 3.5mm audio in and out jacks which can be used instead of the front-facing one. There’s 2.5Gb Ethernet as well.

Intel Thunderbolt 3 Macs can drive one 6K or dual 4K monitors at 60Hz via the dock, with M1 Pro Macs capable of dual 6K though there’s no HDMI port. Compact and well laid-out, this is an excellent dock for both regular and pro users with almost every expansion you might need, and plenty of power to your devices.
