Apple sued by App Store devs

-

Apple’s long-running dispute with developers over its App Store fees has taken another turn, with a £785 million lawsuit being filed against the company in the UK. The class action suit, which represents more than 1,500 developers, argues that “Apple’s charges to app developers are excessive, and only possible due to its monopoly on the distribution of apps onto iPhones and iPads”.

The case has been filed by Sean Ennis, a former economist at the OECD, and further alleges that the charges are unfair and “constitute abusive pricing”. It’s a similar lawsuit to one currently being contested by Apple that seeks £1.5 billion in damages.

?? ?? Apple’s App Store troubles are not yet over, as the company is being sued by a group of developers in the UK.
