Now, though, if you depend on traditional DTP for home or small business, you no longer have to fork over big bucks to get things done.
Swift Publisher 5 is an affordable, easy-to-use app for designing printed media, and also happens to be one of the fastest and most full-featured page-layout programs around. Whether you’re a novice or veteran designer, the app makes it a snap to create and print flyers, letterheads, brochures, and more, with over 300 customizable templates and a library of thousands of clip art images to choose from.
Version 5 adds several convenient form templates including purchase orders and
credit applications, all of which can be tailored to your specific needs. At long last, Swift Publisher includes the ability to create double-page spreads, offering a more professional user interface for viewing two pages side-by-side while designing longer
newsletters or booklets. In our testing, performance was noticeably faster compared to the previous version.
There are also customizable grids, improved text-box linking, the ability to switch measurements between pixel and pica, and integration with Belight’s Art Text 3 for quickly adding 3D text styles. A few pro features are missing: You can’t export to PDF or EPS files in CMYK, nor preview in that color mode, and vectorbased files still import as bitmap images.
